| Founded on November 12, 1922 by seven school teachers on the campus of Butler University at Indianapolis, Indiana, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated is a Black Greek Letter Organization focused on enhancing the community, evident in our motto, "Greater Service, Greater Progress."
The Gamma Kappa Chapter was chartered on July 11, 1964 on California State University at Long Beach's campus, being the very first Black Greek Letter Organization to be chartered at the Southern California institution.
Proceeding into this millennium, the Gamma Kappa chapter continues to promote its dedication to the community. |
